Food Bank
The Britannia Woods Food Bank is a community-driven service that provides free nutritious food to individuals and families in need. Our staff and volunteers work together to create a welcoming and respectful environment where everyone can access fresh produce and pantry staples. Our team tries their best to accommodate various dietary considerations.
We strive to offer more than just food – we listen, support and connect people to additional resources that can help address their unique needs. Our goal is to serve with dignity and care, meeting every visit with kindness and respect.

As team members, we bring our own lived experiences to our work. We also bring our professional expertise as social workers, therapists, counselors, youth workers, youth justice workers, student and family advocates, and community development practitioners.
Dedicated to Community Development for over 45 Years
For over 45 years, we have been proud to serve the Britannia Woods neighbourhood. We were formerly known as Britannia Woods Community House. Since 2015, we have expanded our reach to provide Ottawa-wide programs.
We build every program and service with empathy, understanding, respect, and a deep connection to our community’s diversity. We take inclusion seriously and tailor programs to ensure support for all, including Black and racialized people.
