The Circle focuses on connecting with each other, identifying community needs, connecting the community; and building partnerships to address identified needs by the community. The Circle members meet weekly for socials, information sharing, training and advocacy.
Device Loaning Program
At the BWCH, we understand that access to devices like laptops and tablets can be difficult for some families, especially larger families. We work to close this gap via our Device Loaning program limited to residents of the Britannia Woods Community. Based on device availability, residents can borrow a tablet or laptop for 10 days by paying a refundable $10 deposit and completing a form.
Drop in Services
It can be difficult to understand and complete forms for or to pay for faxing documents on a regular basis. To close gaps like these, clients are welcome to drop by during regular business hours to get help with filling forms, faxing and photocopying documents, accessing a computer, or making a call.
Community Garden
The Britannia Woods Community Garden was launched after adults in the community voiced a need for greenspace in the community that could beautify the community, be a source of fresh produce, as well as provide an outdoor space for community to work together. The community garden consists of ten elevated garden beds where members of the community plant vegetables in the Spring and Summer months.
